Slip slide push pull spin jump squeeze smoosh scooch… fall. This 5 week series is open to anyone wanting to deepen their relationship with the floor and the various ways we can enter and dance with the floor and the greater earth body.
The first 90 minutes will focus on mobility, strength, and agility through forms and short movement motifs. The last 60 minutes will open up to more creative expression, improvisation, and a chance to lab with each other in a more open format.
The practices I will share are inspired by my experience and training in/with Axis Syllabus, Acrodance, Flying Low & Passing Through, Contact Improvisation, Ferus Animi//Terra Nova, and my ongoing research in “Fluid Forms”, an exchange between free diving, aquatic dance, and land-based dance.
No need to sign up, just show up :)

WEAVING WATERS AQUATIC RETREAT
MARCH 21-23, 2025
INNER SANCTUM, WOODSIDE CA

Weaving Waters is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the fluid wisdom of your body. Over 3 days, and 2 nights, we will blend land-based and aquatic practices to support your body's innate capacity for fluid movement and grounded presence. On land, we’ll explore somatic practices such as contact improvisation, functional floorwork, breathwork, and play-fight—each designed to help you tune into your body’s sensations, cultivating softness, awareness, and a deep sense of rootedness. Our aquatic practices are inspired by contact improvisation, freediving, Aguahara, Janzu, and Fluid Presence, allowing the body to float, yield, and flow with ease. The water becomes a sanctuary where you can let go of tension, explore fluid expression, and deepen your connection to both body and breath.
